Steer positively through dead downwind and control sheet tension as the boom crosses.

Objectives

  • Cross DDW deliberately.
  • Time the sheet to prevent a snap.
  • Settle and accelerate on new angle.

Drills

  1. Trim in a touch before the jibe.
  2. Exit on a broad reach and re-trim.
  3. Link two jibes with a steady leg between.
